St Mary’s College has developed strategic partnerships which provide our students with an ever increasing outstanding offer.

We have had a strategic partnership with the Tigers Trust for a number of years. This partnership has been enhanced and we now have a full time Tigers Trust officer on site as St Mary’s College has been designated as one of the First Community Hub Schools. In addition, we have a partnership with Hull FC and have a Director of Rugby on site for three days per week to develop rugby within the male and female curricular and extra-curricular programme.

Working with other partners such as the NHS, the local community through its access to facilities. This will provide a major contribution to the development of sport in Hull but also provide important resources for St Mary's College to sustain and maintain the outstanding facilities which its students and community users enjoy.

The Tigers Trust

The Tigers Trust have been delivering beneficial sporting and educational activities for young people and adults across Hull and East Riding since 1990.

In 2016, St Mary’s College joined in a partnership to work with the Tigers Trust to develop students sporting potential across all year groups including the Sixth Form.

Since 2016 the programme has diversified and Ollie Ezard, the College’s full time Hub Officer, works across the school delivering a range of school sport initiatives and activities to improve the emotional and physical well-being of students. Activities stem from delivery of the Sixth Form football team training and match days, curriculum lesson delivery to other pastoral based sessions such as 1-2-1 mentoring and targeted student breakfast clubs.

A timetable of sessions open to engagement by all students is on offer. A range of free community activities open to all in the local area also run close by at the University.
