In response to the changes within school sport locally, regionally and nationally from 2010 onwards, St Mary’s College in partnership with other stakeholders in the city have ensured that a broad, balanced and comprehensive school sport competitions programme has continued to run in the city of Hull.  Strategic plans are in place to continually develop the offer to students and ensure a continued provision for future generations.

Hull Active Schools is a not for profit organisation which provides competitive opportunities for children within primary, secondary and special schools in over 25 sports and activities engaging 30,000 student attendances each year. These include traditional association based activities such as football, rugby league and netball and newer inclusive based activities such as goalball and table cricket.
